Nestled in a picturesque setting in the city of Amsterdam the park originally opened on Memorial Day in 1914 as Crescent Park, then became Jolly Land and was renamed Mohawk Mills Park when it was acquired by the Mohawk Carpet Mills in the late 1930’s
Shuttleworth Park is the perfect spot for a family or group picnic with tables available along the flowing Chuctununda Creek, a setting that can simply be enjoyed or walk along the mile-long adjacent walking path.
In the heart of Shuttleworth Park are tennis courts, covered Pavillion and restrooms.
The Park is home to several local little league softball teams and offers a fun-filled outdoor playground area, and enjoy ice skating in the winter.
